“The Ateneo de Manila University helped typhoon-battered areas in Cebu to “build back better” by deploying the following AIC technologies
(a) 3 units of solar-powered clean water systems with rain catchment facility, emergency lighting and cellular phone charging,
(b) 3 sets of 2-burner brick stove & oven with water heating provision, and
(c) 2 sets of Near-Cloud system with tablets.
Hands-on trainings were conducted to equip the communities to do coliform and chlorine water testing, water disinfection through chlorination, installation of clean water systems and fabrication/ construction of brick stove and oven. The Near-cloud systems also provide wireless data repository that can be accessed for educational and other purposes” (AIC, 2022)
